Salem offers an array of cutting fluids and scoring oil to meet your glass fabrication needs:
- STMCUT-6 – Conventional scoring oil for cutting all thicknesses of glass. STMCUT-6 excels in high-speed cutting systems as well as hand cutting applications. The oil prevents oxygen from getting into the score line giving the operator time to break out the glass which is especially beneficial on thicker glass. The lubrication properties extend the axle life on high-speed cutting machines. Amber in color.
- STMCUT-8 – An evaporative cutting fluid where very little to no residue is desired. Formulated for use mainly in the window industry where Low-E cuttings are utilized. STMCUT-8 is considered a medium-to-medium fast evaporative cutting fluid. Clear in color. Approved by Guardian for use on all their Low-E (low-emissivity) coatings.
- STMCUT-14 – A fast evaporative cutting fluid with very little to no residue is required. Perfect for continuous cutting lines where the scored glass will be broken out immediately. STMCUT-14 is suited better for thinner window glass applications and Low-E coatings. Clear in color. Guardian and Vitro have approved STMCUT-14 for all their Low-E (low-emissivity) coatings.
